Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging period, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the American major.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in particular - caused him exiting of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Now training with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first trophy following the Rome competition and first on a hard surface from spring of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters together, so to win a championship is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the first title I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching approach and regular outbursts on the playing surface had led commentators to doubt if his capacity to play at the top level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to approach the net and play positively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the first set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the last five points to take the lead.
Both players exchanged break points in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden tour victory, seized the initiative to force a third set.
He defended 4 initial chances in a close final set before the champion broke to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner secured victory with a shot at the net area, with his opponent unable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
